Project Profile

JYASF provided the structural engineering design for alterations to the existing kitchen area and the new large dining room addition for this Italian restaurant in Mill Valley. To improve the restaurant's fine dining ambience, the new dining room has the volume of a much larger structure. A high, vaulted ceiling is accomplished by interior wood trusses spanning the entire dining room. The trusses have concealed gusset plates at the intersecting members for a clean look. The room also features large granite crushing wheels and filtering devices located on a concrete mat.
